Caitlin Noe Moon’s practice focuses largely on helping
families and small business owners plan for the future. She
provides will and estate planning, counseling in elder
law issues, and business organization services for small
businesses. Caitlin also uses her experience in real
estate, land use planning, construction law and civil mediation
to assist the firm’s clients in navigating the legal
process in these areas.
Wills, Estate Planning and Elder Law Counseling. Caitlin
spends much of her professional time working with families
to create custom will documents and estate plans, to protect
and preserve assets for future generations. Because
elder law issues often arise in conjunction with estate
planning, she maintains an active practice in this area
of the law, as well. Her elder law practice focuses
on protecting the autonomy, quality of life and financial
security of people as they age.
Business Creation and Counseling. Caitlin
has found working with her clients to create and organize
closely-held businesses to be a natural by-product of her
planning practice. She helps guide a broad range
of clients through the creation of small business entities,
including corporations, limited liability companies, family
limited liability companies, and partnerships. Beyond
the creation of a business entity, she provides long-term
legal counseling to her business clients, which can include
the creation and negotiation of contracts, representation
in real property transactions, and debt collection.
General Civil Mediation. Caitlin
received extensive training in civil mediation in 2001
and was listed that year as a Supreme Court Rule 31-listed
general civil mediator. She uses her experience and
training as a mediator to work with clients in resolving
disputes outside of the traditional venues of litigation. Caitlin
has successfully mediated resolution in a variety of civil
lawsuits, and she also represents clients as a mediation
advocate in the dispute resolution process.
A “Family-Oriented” Practice. Focusing
on helping families make important planning decisions was
an obvious direction for Caitlin’s law practice when
she opened Harpeth Law Group with her partners in early
2006. She and her husband have young children and
recognize personally the importance of planning for the
future. Caitlin and her partners have even created
a dedicated space for their children, and the children
of clients, to enjoy when at the office. By creating
such an environment, and offering other services such as
evening and weekend appointments, Caitlin and her partners
seek to create a full service firm that respects and accomodates
the families which it serves.
Community Involvement. In addition
to maintaining her active law practice, Caitlin has served
consecutive terms as an officer for the Board of Directors
for Montessori School of Franklin, the school her children
attend. She also devotes substantial volunteer time
creating wills and related documents for persons with limited
financial resources in the Franklin community.

of Vanderbilt University School of Law. She also
received an M.A. in Communication from Western Kentucky
